Including the ones that make us less money to answer honestly.
Every iPhone from the XR (2018) forward reads NFC with the screen on — no app, no setting to enable. Effectively every Android from the last eight years does the same. Every card also carries a printed QR code on the same face, so nobody gets stuck.
No. They hold their phone near the card, a notification slides down, they tap it, and the page opens in their normal browser. Nothing installs on their phone and nothing installs on yours.
Yes — that is Google's rule, not ours, and it applies to every review card, QR code or link you will ever see. Most people are already signed in. If they aren't, Google asks them to sign in and then takes them to the review box.
No. Google explicitly allows you to ask. What is not allowed is paying for reviews, offering a discount for one, or only asking the happy customers. A card on the counter invites everyone equally, which is the compliant way to do it — and we never build review-gating into anything.
A ready-made review card is written and tested at your counter, same day. Custom-printed cards take 5–8 business days once you approve the artwork. A full tap menu takes 3–5 business days from the day you hand over your current menu.
No. Send a logo — or a photo of your sign if that's all you have — and we lay out the card, write the line of copy on it, and send you a proof to approve before anything is printed.
Not on the cards. You buy them once and they keep working, with no account and nothing to renew. Menu updates are billed monthly: $30 for one change, $50 for two, $100 for up to four.
Yes, and you don't need a new card. Bring it back, or we come to you, and we rewrite it in about a minute. Menu cards point at a link we host, so menu changes never need the card touched at all.
Yes. Most shops start with one card at the till, see what a week does, then add one by the door. One card is $40, two are $70, three are $100.
1-year warranty on the chip and the print. If one stops working in normal use inside that window, we replace it, and you don't send the old one back. Not covered: broken, cracked or bent cards and plates, chips damaged by a hard hit or excess force, tampering, loss or theft. Every card is password-locked before it reaches you, so a stranger can't rewrite it.
We are local: Metro Vancouver. That is the whole point — we come to your counter, set it up, and test it with you before we leave. Further out in BC we can ship cards ready to use.
A QR asks them to open the camera, aim it, wait, then tap a banner. A tap asks them to touch a card. Every card we make carries both, so the QR is the backup, not the plan.
One sentence when someone pays: “Mind leaving us a Google review? Just tap here.” The card does the rest — no link to find, no name to spell, no app to open. Customers who would never hunt for your listing will tap a card that is already in front of them.
You will get some — every business does. A shop sitting at 4.6 with 200 reviews beats one at 5.0 with 11, because a perfect score on a handful of reviews reads as fake. What people actually look at is how many, how recent, and whether the owner replies.
