Tap-to-clock
The NFC tag by the door is the time clock. Staff tap it, punch a PIN, and hit one button — no GPS, no location permission, no tracking anyone around town. You have to be standing at the door, because the tag is screwed to the wall.
One device per site — read this
There is no server behind this tool. Punches are saved in the local storage of the device that made them, so the tablet the shop keeps by the door is the time clock, and this manager screen only shows what that same device recorded. If someone punches in on their own phone instead of the tablet, that punch lives on their phone and you will never see it here. Clearing the browser's data wipes the timesheet.
Multi-device sync, several locations rolling up into one view, and checking hours from home all need a real backend with accounts — that is the next version, not a setting in this one. Until then: one tablet per door, and take the JSON backup every pay period.
